1. Quotations
A quotation fee applies to all quotation appointments. The quotation fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. Where the Customer elects to proceed with the quoted works, the amount paid for the quotation fee will be credited against the total cost of the job.
Customers must strictly adhere to their scheduled quotation appointment time. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a quotation appointment. Failure to provide the required notice may result in loss of the quotation fee. Late arrival or non-attendance may, at the Company’s discretion, result in forfeiture of the quotation fee.
All quotations are provided on an estimate basis only. Quotations may not reflect the final total cost of works, as certain damage or required repairs may not be visible or identifiable until works commence on the vehicle. The final cost may vary accordingly.
2. Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimated job value is required to secure a confirmed booking date for commencement of works. A booking will not be considered confirmed until the deposit has been received in full.
3. Invoicing and Payment Terms
Invoices may be issued weekly or fortnightly, as agreed between the parties.
Deposit invoices and progress payment invoices must be paid within five (5) business days of the date of issue.
Central Restorations reserves the right to suspend or delay works in the event of late, missed, or outstanding payments.
Final invoices must be paid in full and cleared in the bank account of Central Restorations before collection of the vehicle may be permitted.
4. Access and Inspection Requirements
All vehicle inspections are strictly by appointment only. Customers and visitors must not enter the workshop floor at any time unless accompanied by a Central Restorations employee. If reception is unattended, you are required to remain within the designated reception area until a member of staff attends to you.
5. Social Media Consent
Central Restorations may capture, use, and publish photographs and/or video footage of the customer’s vehicle for social media, marketing, advertising, and other promotional purposes.
Customers who do not consent to such use must provide written notice to Central Restorations prior to the commencement of works.
6. Third-Party Parts, Panels and Accessories
Central Restorations accepts no responsibility or liability for defects, poor fitment, design faults, or installation issues arising from aftermarket or customer supplied panels, parts, or accessories.
Any additional labour, rectification work, or delays caused as a result of such items will be charged at Central Restorations’ standard hourly rate.
7. Pre-Existing Paint and Surface Conditions
Central Restorations shall not be liable for any lifting, peeling, delamination, or other failures of pre-existing paintwork that may occur during surface preparation, sanding, refinishing, or work on adjacent panels.
Such issues are considered inherent risks associated with working over unknown or previous paint substrates.
8. Restoration Inspections
Customers may attend progress inspections at the commencement of each major stage of the restoration process.
Each inspection is limited to 30 minutes to ensure minimal interruption to workshop operations.
Time spent beyond this allocation will be charged at the prevailing hourly labour rate.
9. Job Cost Variations
All quotes and estimates are provided based on visible and known conditions at the time of assessment.
Should additional work be required to complete the job to a safe, roadworthy, or satisfactory standard, including but not limited to the discovery of rust, structural defects, or prior substandard repairs, Central Restorations will notify the customer and obtain approval before proceeding.
Additional work will be invoiced in accordance with Central Restorations’ standard rates.
10. Warranty
Central Restorations provides a lifetime warranty on paint and panel work that commences from bare metal and/or epoxy primer stage.
No warranty is offered for resprays or refinishing completed over existing paint, filler, rust repairs, or previous work carried out by third parties.
11. Acceptance of Prior Work by Third Parties
Central Restorations does not accept restoration projects that have undergone prior bodywork by other workshops or individuals unless the work has been inspected and approved beforehand.
Where previously completed metalwork or repairs require correction or refinement to meet Central Restorations’ quality standards, the customer will be notified and additional charges will apply.
12. Intellectual Property – Paint Codes, Formulas and Refinishing Data
All paint formulas, colour mixes, matching data, ratios, application methods, and refinishing processes developed or utilised by Central Restorations (“Paint IP”) are and remain the exclusive intellectual property and trade secrets of Central Restorations.
Under no circumstances will Central Restorations release, disclose, sell, or otherwise provide any paint codes, formulas, samples, or related proprietary information to customers or third parties.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Paint IP is commercially sensitive and forms part of Central Restorations’ confidential know-how and competitive advantage.
